Breast Enlargement

With society always focusing on the way we look, it is no surprise that women are now taking extreme measures to live up to their standard. After all, what else are we supposed to do when magazines and movies portray women as big breasted models? For any woman – young or old, it can be difficult to embrace what we have when the general public loves thin big breasted masterpieces.

Breast Augmentation

Due to the constant attention surrounding breasts, women of all ages are now considering breast augmentation. Although many women have this surgery because they want to impress the general public, others do it solely for themselves. It can be difficult for a small breasted woman to feel good about herself, when she constantly sees larger breasts being worshipped by men and women alike. No matter what the reason is for breast augmentation, women should not take this procedure lightly. It is imperative that they not only do research, but make sure that deep down this is what they really want.

While breast augmentation surgery has evolved immensely during the years, it still can be a dangerous procedure. Therefore, a woman should be informed of the potential risks involved, before she decides to go through with enlarging her breasts. For most women, the hardest decision is figuring out what type of breast implant should be used. With saline and silicone, there are dozens of pros and cons to both. For this reason, it is necessary to talk with your doctor before deciding on the best fit.

Although silicone is the most known form of breast implant, it has been causing problems for decades. While silicone makes the breast look natural and feel great, is still has underlying issues. As a result, silicone has made thousands of women sick, leading to serious health problems and sometimes death. Since the early 90’s, the U.S. has banned silicone, due to such hazardous side effects. However, silicone is steadily making its way back into surgeon’s hands, as it looks more natural than saline.

Cosmetic Surgery?

For most women today, saline breast implants are the norm. It is not only a safer procedure, but it also allows you to feel like you will not be risking your life when going under the knife. Although there are minimal health threats involved, many women feel that the breast just doesn’t feel natural. Saline tends to harden the tissue, resulting in firmness that screams “fake breasts.” For this reason, it can be difficult for a woman to choose a type of breast implant. While saline is still beneficial, chances are it won’t look normal. On the other hand, while silicone will provide beauty, it could take your life.

Regardless of what you decide to do, it is vital that you research as much as possible. Far too often women quickly agree to a procedure, never realizing that they are putting their life on the line. Thus, it is important to choose the type of breast implant with your knowledgeable doctor. No matter what you want to do, breast implants not only change lives, but also alter outlooks. Small breasted women, who are self conscious, can finally break free of the embarrassment. Although small breasts are still considered beautiful by many, breast enhancement surgery can give women a brand new life.

A boob job is a serious surgical procedure

Many people seeking breast augmentation, breast enhancements or breast enlargement seek out plastic surgery from a clinic where they don't just provide you with a breast surgeon, but in addition offer a range of complementary surgery services such as a nose job (rhinoplasty), a tummy tuck along with liposuction, and a facelift or microdermabrasion. A cosmetic surgeon is duty bound to make you aware of the serious nature of these procedures, and combining them at the same time is often not to be recommended.

If you want bigger breasts (breast enhancement) and after consultation with your clinical surgeon decide that cosmetic breast surgery in the form of a breast lift (uplift), breast implants, breast reconstruction or breast reduction, are the solution, then you should consult your doctor for advice about your general fitness levels. After all, breast enhancements are a very serious procedure - because they are so common people often refer to a breast job as something simple, and yet this is simply not the case.

Should I get breast surgery in the US, UK or Europe, or should I travel further afield?

Our Consultant Directory is well worth a look, but if you are in the United States you should refer to The American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) or American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS) for a recommendation, while in the UK check that your surgeon carries the letters MRCS, FRCS or FRCS(plast)after their name which means they are a qualified Member or Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons. Also look out for BAAPS (British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons) and BACS (British Association of Cosmetic Surgeons) membership.

The point is, that one boob job is not like another, and this is not just because boob jobs come in all shapes and sizes because the patients breasts differ, but the breast surgeon you use will prefer a different range of techniques, and will have a different range of qualifications to those used by others. For example, in Eastern Europe (Prague and Poland are popular!) and Africa, many qualified plastic surgeons work to a very high standard and at relatively low cost, but as the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons, cheap can be expensive. When you look at the before and after boob job pictures provided this only tells part of the story. You might be looking at a great pair of big boobs, but it's sometimes a professional skill to be able to see a bad example of breast enlargement surgery.
